A Rambler's Take on Love

A person can write a poem to wow another

Or express how they feel on something

An artist can paint a mosaic

Or a musician write a song

Or your story could be like mine

And be the tale of a guy that tried

It’s hard for a beast to find love

For who could someone most hideous

For in a world today people care about few things

They care for money or wealth

They fall for people with looks

But people fail to remember something most important

It’s the person on the inside they need to care for

For this is why no one can love a beast

We never want to learn about a person

We make constant noise but no one is listening

Take a moment to listen to a person’s story

But we won’t because we are set in our ways

We laugh and cry but we will never open our eyes

Listen to the tale of a beast for their stories are true

We will continue to laugh and cry with no feeling to leave

People will stay the way they are for we know no better

A beast will stay lonely for one reason alone

We refuse to look past the cover of a book and see the rose inside
