Resurrection

I left my job,

To pursue something better,

To improve me,

I lost people along the way,

But realize they were holding me back,

I found new,

I found different,

I found my resurrection,

Remembering the songs I sang,

The way I was before,

The old me had died,

To take the place of a bland me,

One that followed things blindly,

This is the resurrection of a new me,

The revival of my true self,

The person I want to be,

The person I once was,

This shall be,

My resurrection,
